This chair was inspired by a chair made by John Brown, the Welsh stick chair maker. His version had a basket weave pattern carved into it. This is my take with a carved Celtic knot on a limewood splat. The rest of the chair is in ash. The legs and stretchers are turned. The finish was started with a coffee stain to bring the two different kinds of wood to a similar colour. Then danish oil and finally beeswax was applied.

This chair sits fairly upright and so is perfect for sitting at a table.
